Thumbnail Filmstrip of Construction Stormwater Awareness Images
The Construction Stormwater Awareness video is a tool to train key, non-storm water municipal personnel, to be able to recognize and report potential construction storm water problems on active construction sites that they may encounter in the course of traveling the community to conduct municipal business. The target audience for this video includes all municipal employees that do not have direct stormwater inspection responsibilities, particularly in functions such as building codes inspection and CIP/engineering/public works inspection that frequently visit constructions sites, but also employees in areas such as street maintenance, public works, water utilities, fire marshals, code compliance, health inspections, and others who travel throughout the community regularly.
This video equips municipal employees with the knowledge and resources necessary to recognize and report poor stormwater management at construction sites. This video explains the potential environmental problems caused by poor construction site management and basic information on what some best practices should look like in the areas of erosion control, sediment control, and waste control.
Produced in 2012, video length 14:30.
